This organization was founded by Mrs. Georgian Owino.
She was born and raised in NYAKACH sub county, Kisumu County, married and blessed with children. Thanks to her steadfast and forthright parents who were primary school teachers. She was granted the opportunity to go to school contrary to the norm of educating a female gender at that time. She did electrical engineering and served in various stations on the same. Unfortunately, the passion in engineering gradually faded away.
Unfortunately, engineering was not meant for her. Transforming lives from communities and internationally was. She decided to down tools, and headed back to class and did what she truly was called to serve in the NGO world under various programs.
Her memory could not run short of her peers, friends and relatives back at home, due to untold misery brought about by absurd poverty and other challenges, that they could not access adequate learning.
To do away with this cycle, with the assistance of her biological mother who was a retired school teacher and an EMIT facilitator, NYAKACH SKILLS FOR LIFE CBO was birthed.
Together, we'll ensure that the vulnerable can thrive, learn and lead.
